She’s Too Emotional; He Doesn’t Understand

Well, this isn’t a creative topic, that’s not a new subject and there’s nothing to discuss. If you search for books about communication between men and women, you’ll find as many as copies of the Harry Potter series. Are there still communication problems between genders? Yes! And that is simply because people are too lazy to educate themselves on such topics or aren’t even aware that they need to.

This matter can be easily summarized: men are left-brained, women are right-brained; it means that men are “analytical” people when women are more “compassionate” human beings. Women prize the romantic, emotional actions and men tend to rely on statistics and concrete information. That’s why a woman would like a romantic dinner, scented candles and passionate words when a man would rather pass directly to actions and can’t actually see the point of going through all of this.

In order to communicate with the other person, one should understand the other, how they think and what they’re feeling. Hence, for a healthy communication between genders, each person should be aware of how the other process, what matters to them and find balance. That’s why we learn about the love language of our partner when we first start a relationship for example, because the purpose of expressing love is to make the other person feel it. And the most important part of the process is to listen to the other person, not only to reply, but to understand them; the first step towards a healthy communication.

The biological difference between the brain structure of men and women is evident, but doesn’t the pressure the society puts on individuals play a role in that matter?
